Tuesday, November 6 - Day 1 ??? DEPART - Today we depart from Boston???s Logan International Airport on our transatlantic flight to Zurich, via best connections.  We enjoy inflight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft. Wednesday, November 7 - Day 2 - ZURICH/ LUCERNE ??? Upon arrival we are greeted by our driver and tour manager. After a short orientation tour of Zurich, we drive to Lucerne. We check into our hotel for dinner and overnight. Thursday, November 8 - Day 3 ???LUCERNE ??? This morning we visit Lucerne.  We view the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument, the Hofkirche (where we celebrate Mass,) the Musegg Towers and the Weinmarket Fountain.  We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Friday, November 9 - Day 4 ???   LUCERNE/ LUGANO ??? This morning we depart and travel to the wonderful Alpine Lake Country to the beautiful city of Lugano. On arrival we continue to Orselina and lovely Lake Maggiore. We have time this afternoon for shopping and lunch on our own.  We have the opportunity to explore the culinary delights of Lugano tonight as dinner is on our own.  Overnight at the hotel. Saturday, November 10 - Day 5 ??? LUGANO/ MILAN ??? This morning we continue south into Italy. Upon arrival in Milan we see the highlights of Milan, arguably the most important city in northern Italy and the capital of fashion. The Last Supper, a late 15th century mural painting by Leonardo da Vinci is housed in the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie ??? we will view this magnificent artwork ??? time of our visit will be assigned.  We walk past La Scala opera house and through the graceful Galleria to Piazza del Duomo to see the famed Cathedral, bristling with 135 pinnacles and 2245 white marble statues. Here we see the burial place of St. Charles Borromeo, the most famous bishop of Milan. Mass is celebrated in the Cathedral.   We continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight.       Sunday, November 11 - Day 6 ??? MILAN/ TURIN/MILAN ??? Today we travel to Turin where we visit the church that houses the famous Shroud of Turin Museum.  While the shroud is not on display this year, we see the fascinating exhibits found here concerning the Shroud.  Mass is celebrated in the Church of Turin or we attend a scheduled Sunday Mass.  We return to Milan for dinner and overnight. Monday, November 12 - Day 7 ??? MILAN/ PADUA ???Today we travel east on our scenic drive through this beautiful countryside to Padua.  We celebrate Mass at and tour the Basilica of St. Anthony and the largest bronze work of Donatello.  After lunch we visit the Scrovegni Chapel known for the frescoes by Giotto. Later we continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Tuesday, November 13 - Day 8??? PADUA/ VENICE/PADUA ??? This morning we drive to Venice, the Queen of the Cities!  The glories that are Venice have attracted Byron, Goethe, Wagner, Shakespeare and now - you!  Time is spent this morning walking the sights of Venice:  the splendid Piazza San Marco and the incredibly rich Byzantine Basilica of San Marco.  We marvel at the intricate network of elegant squares lined with stately Renaissance villas and palaces.  This afternoon, we visit an exquisite blown glass boutique and witness the art of glass blowing.  Return to Padua for dinner and overnight at our hotel. Wednesday, November 14 - Day 9 ???  PADUA/ VENICE ??? Return to Venice for a free day to further explore. We are free for shopping, personal adventure or an optional gondola ride through the inner canals of Venice.   Dinner on our own in Venice before we return to Padua for overnight. Thursday, November 15 - Day 10 ??? USA ??? This morning, we depart Padua for the airport in Milan to return to the USA where we return later today with memories of a lifetime.
