On this safari we discover some particularly picturesque towns as well as the fantastic coast of Montenegro. The departure point of this journey is Dubrovnik in Croatia, one of the most beautiful cities in the Adriatic and a World Heritage site. Because of its historical importance it is often called the "Athens of Croatia". We head into Montenegro, one of the youngest states in the world, and our main destination. Together with our guides we discover the bay of Kotor whose steep limestone cliffs make it one of the most impressive landscapes in the entire Adriatic. Also visited are the coastal cities of Budva as well as Montenegro's former capital Cetinje.   One of our lunch stops is on the shores of Lake Skutari,  one of the largest lakes in the Balkans where migratory birds stop en route on their journey south.   Our tour finishes up in the town of Kotor,  almost 2000 years old and famous for its medieval centre listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.  You can partake in a guided tour of the city before relaxing in one of the main bars.  The tour finishes up the following morning with a transfer back to Dubrovnik.
