We enjoy in-flight movies with dinner and breakfast aloft. Saturday, Oct 24- Day 2 -  DUBLIN - This morning arrive Dublin Airport and meet with our Driver/Guide.  We enjoy a panoramic tour of Dublin???s principal sites, its elegant Georgian squares, famous for its architecture.  We pass by St. Patrick Cathedral, made famous by its former dean, Jonathan Swift, author of ???Gulliver???s Travels.???  We proceed to Phoenix Park with its many monuments and Papal Cross and where the famous Georgian mansion of the US Ambassador to Ireland is located.  Lunch on our own at Phoenix Park.  Afterwards, we celebrate Mass at the Legion of Mary headquarters (subject to availability).  The Legion of Mary, a worldwide Catholic organization, started in Dublin in the early 1920???s.  We continue to Trinity College & the famous ???Book of Kells???.  Time permitting; we briefly stop by the Whitefriar Carmelite Church to view the relic of St Valentine.  Dinner and overnight at our hotel. Sunday, October 25 - DAY 3- DUBLIN/DOWNPATRICK/ARMAGH - Today we depart Dublin for Northern Ireland???s St. Patrick???s country ??? Counties Down & Armagh.  Here we discover how strong these areas link to this patron saint.  In County Down we pass by Saul Church, Ireland???s first Church.  We enjoy a photo stop at the beautiful and tranquil ruins of Inch Abbey, where the Cistercian Order used to lead a strict communal life of worship, study and communal labor.  Nowadays, Inch Abbey is one of the filming locations of Game of Thrones.  We also enjoy a quick photo stop at Down Cathedral, a former Benedictine Monastery, where according to tradition, the remains of St Patrick, St Brigid and St Columba are buried in a common graveyard outside the cathedral.  We gather for Mass at a local church in Downpatrick.  Lunch on our own at St. Patrick???s Centre.  We continue to Armagh, the spiritual capital of Ireland for 1500 years, famous for its two St Patrick cathedrals, Anglican and Catholic.  We visit the imposing St. Patrick???s Roman Catholic Cathedral.   Its interior is almost Byzantine; every piece of wall and ceiling are covered in colored mosaics.  Dinner and overnight at our hotel. Monday, October 26 - DAY 4 - ARMAGH/ATTYMASS/KNOCK/ WESTPORT - This morning we journey to Father Peyton Memorial Centre in Attymass.  Servant of God, Fr. Patrick Peyton, known as the Rosary Priest and who made famous the slogan, ???The Family that Prays Together, Stays Together??? was born in one of the towns in Attymass parish.  Afterwards, we drive to the Knock Shrine, an internationally recognized Marian shrine. An important pilgrimage center , famous for over a century as the site of visions, apparitions and miraculous cures.  In August 1879, 15 people witnessed the apparition of the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist at the south gable of the Knock parish church.  St. Pope John Paul II visited Knock in 1979 during the centenary of the apparition.  We celebrate Mass here.  We then continue to Westport, one of Ireland???s beautiful towns.  A few miles from Westport is Croagh Patrick, the holiest mountain in Ireland, where St Patrick fasted for 40 days.  After a brief coach orientation tour of Westport, we transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Tuesday, October 27 - DAY 5 -WESTPORT / BALINTUBBER/GALWAY/ CLIFFS OF MOHER/  LIMERICK -  After breakfast, we celebrate Mass at Ballintubber Abbey,  the only church  in Ireland   founded by an Irish King and which is still in use today. It was built next to the site of an earlier church founded by St. Patrick in the 5th century.  We continue to Galway, a city in ???Have questions about this pilgrimage?  Ask us!  Go to .???     Ireland???s west coast, for a brief panoramic tour of its delightful narrow streets, old stone and wooden shop fronts, Spanish Arch, the 19th century Eyre Square, the Latin Quarter and Lynch???s Castle.  Beside the castle is the Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas, Galway???s finest medieval building  where Christopher Columbus is said to have prayed before setting sail for the Americas.  Time permitting,  we briefly stop by King???s Head Pub in Shop St.   Lunch on our own in Galway,  then on to the Burren region and spectacular Cliffs of Moher.  The Burren National Park is a unique place with limestone pavements, myriads of wild flora, megalithic tombs and Celtic crosses as well as a ruined Cistercian Abbey dating back to the 12th century.  The Cliffs of Moher, situated in the Atlantic Ocean, boasts one of the most amazing views in Ireland.  On a clear day, the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay as well as the valleys and hills of Connemara. We visit O??? Brien Tower, north of the Cliff???s highest point, then the Atlantic Edge, its exciting new interpretive centre.  We continue to Limerick.  This evening we join in the fun and feasting at Bunratty or Knappogue Castle. Our medieval-style banquet is served in the Great Hall of the 15th century castle during which the lords and ladies of the castle transport us in spirit to the Middle Ages with their songs and stories. Overnight at our hotel. Wednesday, October 28,  Simon & Jude- DAY 6 ???LIMERICK /GLENDALOUGH/DUBLIN - Today we drive to Wicklow, known as the Garden of Ireland.  We celebrate Mass at St Kevin???s parish at the Glendalough Monastic site.  It was here that St. Kevin, son of royalty and one of Ireland???s most popular Saints founded a monastery in the 6th century.  It became a famous center of learning throughout Europe and has attracted pilgrims and vocations to religious life.  We continue to Dublin where we enjoy dinner and overnight at our hotel. Thursday, October 29 - DAY 7 ??? DUBLIN/LONDON - This morning, we take an early flight from Dublin to London.  Upon arrival at London Airport we are met by our guide. Board our motor coach and we drive to Westminster Cathedral where we celebrate Mass. (subject to availability).  Afterwards, we enjoy a panoramic tour of London???s city centre: commence in vibrant West End where we admire famous sights such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, and Big Ben. We visit Westminster Abbey, an architectural masterpiece which has been the setting for every Coronation since 1066 and contains the tombs of many Kings and Queens. Also in the district of Westminster, we pass the Houses of Parliament.  Then we continue  to the Old City of London. Although now largely commercial, the city is packed with history and noteworthy buildings. We see St. Paul's Cathedral, the famous Hyde Park and Marble Arch.  Our last stop is the Tower of London, ancient London's most historic monument and home to the priceless Crown Jewels.  We spend the balance of the day at our leisure for   shopping or sightseeing.  Tonight dinner is on our own and overnight at our hotel. Friday, October 30- DAY 8 ??? LONDON FREE DAY ??? Following breakfast at the hotel, we are free for shopping, personal adventure or exploring on our own.  Dinner will be on our own, overnight at our hotel.  OR you can choose: LIVERPOOL OPTIONAL EXCURSION Optional excursion to Liverpool. See separate flyer for the excursion. Saturday, October 31 - DAY 9 ??? LONDON/STONEHENGE/WINDSOR PALACE -  We drive to Stonehenge where we  will visit one of the wonders of the world, famous for its prehistoric monuments.  Continue to Windsor Castle - one of the famous royal residences in England.   The rest of the day is free for shopping or exploration.  Dinner is on our own, overnight at our hotel in London Sunday, November 1, All Saints- DAY 10 - USA ??? This morning, following breakfast at the hotel we will have some free time before departing for the airport for our return flight to USA with memories of a lifetime.
