Khawr Fakk?n New York City Connecticut Gardens Medina ChefchaoueneGrowing up as a New York City kid was pretty awesome. There was this ice cream shop called "My Mother's Place" that became a daily thing for my dad and I. Every afternoon, we'd make the walk to that shop, hand in hand, ready to pick out flavors for the whole family. It was our little tradition. The best part wasn't just the ice cream (although that was pretty great), but the time spent with my dad, chatting and laughing as we walked down the streets. Those moments, simple as they were, are some of the fondest memories I have of growing up in the city that never sleeps.Growing up in Connecticut has been awesome. I've made so many friends here, and it's been a blast. What's cool is that over time, a bunch of my family from New York moved here too. So, now I never feel too far from them. It's like having the best of both worlds - friends and family all close by.Chefchaouen was the best family trip I've ever been on. It was the last adventure I shared with my parents, and we had the best time. We explored so many cities in Morocco, but there was something magical about Chefchaouen that stole my heart. Maybe it's because the whole city is painted blue, and blue happens to be my favorite color. But beyond that, it was the memories I made with my dad that made it extra special. From wandering through the vibrant streets to sharing laughs over delicious meals, every moment in Chefchaouen was unforgettable. It's a trip I'll cherish forever.Medina is like no other place for me. It's got this special vibe that fills you with peace like nowhere else. Last time I went was back in March 2022, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. Coming back, I felt like a whole new person, in the best way possible. That trip brought me closer to my religion in ways I never imagined. It's like the serenity of that place seeped into my soul and changed me for the better. One big change? I started wearing a hijab after my Umrah trip. It's amazing how one journey can have such a profound impact on your life. Medina will always hold a special place in my heart.Visiting UAE every year to see my family in Khor Fakkan is honestly the best feeling ever. I have a fun trip every time, and the best part is, I never use my phone. My family's place is hidden away behind these awesome mountains and overlooks the ocean. Every morning, I'm up before the sun, hitting the beach for a swim until it rises. It's like therapy! I've made so many amazing memories here, and honestly, I can't think of a single bad one.
