Day 1: DEPART USA ??? We depart Syracuse by luxury coach to connect with our overnight flight from New York to the Emerald Isle. We enjoy beverages, in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft. (Limited air seats from Syracuse available for a supplemental charge ??? see form below for details). Day 2: DINGLE PENINSULA & TRALEE ??? Upon arrival at Shannon Airport, Unitours welcomes you. We drive through Limerick, stopping for an Irish brunch and then heading on to the picturesque village of Adare, famous for its thatched roofs. We celebrate Mass in a local church then journey into the mountainous country of Kerry, through Tralee and along the Dingle Peninsula, where the Irish language is preserved and there are 2,000 sites of prehistoric and early Christian remains. Stop in the thriving, colorful fishing port town of Dingle before arriving in Tralee for dinner/overnight. Day 3: RING OF KERRY TOUR & TRALEE ??? The Ring of Kerry awaits us ??? with its spectacular scenery, unusually mild climate and rapid changes in light and weather, this is a bewitching place of intense beauty. Macgillycuddy's Reeks raise a jagged edge to the sky while at their feet rest three still lakes, studded with little islands. Drive through the remote villages of Cahirciveen and Derrynane to Sneem, a village of colorful houses grouped around two squares. We celebrate Mass, visit Moll's Gap and the Ladies' View for a spectacular sight, then return to Tralee for dinner/overnight. Day 4: BLARNEY CASTLE & DUBLIN ??? We???re off to the rich dairy farmland of County Cork and then Blarney, where you can climb the battlements of fabled 15th century Blarney Castle to kiss the famous "stone of eloquence.??? Time permitting we will visit the Blarney Woolen Mills where there is an excellent selection of Irish goods. We continue across the Wicklow Mountains toward Dublin, Ireland's capital city. We celebrate Mass upon arrival. We journey to Glendalough and view the 6th century monastic settlement with the ruins of seven churches and a round tower. We will celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Kevin. Returning to Dublin, we enjoy a city sightseeing tour, visiting St. Patrick's Cathedral, where author Jonathan Swift was once Dean, and Trinity College, where the Book of Kells, an early Christian manuscript of the four gospels, is housed. Early evening will be at leisure. Try O'Connell Street with its tree-lined walk of massive statues, or Henry Street which leads to the Moore Street Market where modern day "Molly Malones" sell cockles and mussels. Other shopping hubs are Powerscourt Center, Nassau Street, and Grafton Street, known as Dublin's most fashionable walkway with its gaudy shop signage and cafes. In the evening, choose from the many restaurants, theaters, and pubs that Dublin has to offer for dinner on your own. Overnight Dublin. DAY 6: DUBLIN ??? BELFAST ??? Today you may take a full day to explore Dublin or you may board the motor coach for an excursion to Belfast, with lunch at the infamous Europa Hotel. The Belfast tour will take in the leaning Albert Memorial Clock tower and the Opera House, which is one of Belfast???s great landmarks. Your tour will pass by the City Hall, the Crown Bar, Queens University and the Botanic Gardens. A visit to the Shankill and Falls road will be of interest and give an indication of how life was in Belfast during the Troubles. Dinner on your own tonight in Dublin.   Day 7: DUBLIN TO GALWAY ??? Today we traverse Ireland from east to west. We drive into West County Offaly, rich in prehistoric treasures. Stop to visit one of the largest and greatest ecclesiastical centers ever founded in Ireland, Clonmacnoise, where we celebrate Mass. Set on the banks of the River Shannon, Clonmacnoise was founded in 545 AD and contains a round tower and the remains of nine churches. Onto Galway for dinner/overnight. Day 8: KNOCK SHRINE & GALWAY ??? This morning we visit the Knock Shrine, where an apparition of the Virgin Mary appeared to 15 people in 1879. We celebrate Mass and enjoy quiet contemplation. We continue to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Later this afternoon we tour Galway, visiting the large modern cathedral set on an island on the River Corrib. See the Spanish Arch in the Claddagh area, formerly a fishing village. Pass Lynch's Castle, one of the finest town houses remaining in Ireland now an Irish Bank. Also, spend some time around Eyre Square, the hub of the city, where most of the shops are within easy reach. Or you may choose to stop by one of the many quaint pubs and enjoy traditional Irish music. Dinner on your own/overnight Galway.    Day 9: CONNEMARA & KYLEMORE ABBEY/GALWAY ??? Today we journey west through the Connemara region and the gentle hills of the Maamturk Mountains, wrapped around the Twelve Pins, or Benna Beola. We continue to Kylemore Abbey, a 19th century neo-Gothic mansion rising from the shores of Fannon Pool and backed by the thickly wooded escarpments of Doughruagh. We will celebrate Mass here and take time to enjoy the beautiful grounds. Explore on your own this afternoon. Tonight we drive south Dunguaire Castle, a beautifully restored 15th century castle set on Kinvarra Bay. This imposing castle makes a delightful and intimate setting for a traditional Irish meal followed by entertainment, which focuses on Ireland's literary heritage, including songs and extracts from the works of major Irish writers such as J. M. Synge, W. B. Yeats and Sean O'Casey. Dinner and overnight in Galway. Day 10: RETURN TO USA ??? We travel to the airport for our flight home with renewed spirits, lifelong memories and the gift of eloquence!
