Sunday, June 12 - Day 1 ??? DEPART USA ??? Today we depart JFK on our direct, overnight flight to Rome aboard a wide-bodied jet. We can sleep, or enjoy in-flight movies, dinner and breakfast aloft. Monday, June 13 - DAY 2 - ROME - We will arrive in Rome and begin our pilgrimage by passing through the Holy Doors of the Basilica of St. Mary Major, where we will have Mass at the altar which houses the Crib our Lord was placed in at his Nativity, miraculously discovered by St. Helena in the Fourth Century. At this altar, it is a privilege to offer the Mass of Christmas on nearly any day of the year! Time permitting, we will visit the nearby Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, where the titlus and other relics of the Passion reside. Next, we will enter St. Peter's through the Holy Doors and tour the Basilica followed by some free time, during which those who wish will visit the Church of San Silvestro in Capite, which houses the head of St. John the Baptist. Dinner on your own, and overnight in Rome. Tuesday, June 14 - DAY 3 -   ROME/MONTE CASSINO/NAPLES ??? Early morning hotel departure with box breakfast to visit Tre Fontane Abbey and its three Churches on the outskirts of Rome, where St. Paul was martyred, where the relics of Sts. Anastasius and Vincent are kept, and where it is piously believed that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared in 1947 to Bruno Cornacchiola, and converted him, ending his plot to assassinate the pope. Next, we will depart for the famous Benedictine Monastery at Monte Cassino, where Sts. Benedict and Scholastica are buried, where we will have Mass. Afterward, we will continue to Naples, where we will visit the Cathedral, which houses the relics of St. Januarius, famous for the annual miracle of the liquification of his blood, and, time permitting, St. Martin's Charterhouse and the Gesù Nuovo, where the body of St. Giuseppe Moscati lies under an altar. Dinner and overnight in Naples.  Wednesday, June 15 - DAY 4 -  NAPLES/ POMPEII/AMALFI - Following early breakfast at the hotel, we proceed to the Carmelite Basilica which houses the miraculous image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel known as "La Bruna", believed to have been painted by St. Luke, and brought from the Holy Land when the Carmelites were expelled by the Moslems in the 13th Century. Following our Mass at the Carmelite Basilica, we will have a brief visit of the famous ruins of Pompeii, about which St. Therese remarked, ???The traces has left upon the ruins of Pompeii are frightening and are a manifestation of God???s power: 'He looks at the earth and it trembles; he touches the mountains and they are reduced to smoke.'??? We then continue to New Pompeii, where we visit the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary. Afterward, with shuttle buses we visit the relics of St. Andrew in Amalfi. We continue to Salerno and our hotel along the Mediterranean. We will be free to enjoy the culinary delights of Salerno tonight as dinner is on our own. Overnight in Salerno. Thursday, June 16 - DAY 5 -  SALERNO/MUGNANO DEL CARDINALE/BARI -Today following breakfast we depart Salerno and visit the Shrine of St. Philomena, where her body lies, in Mugnano del Cardinale, where we will celebrate Mass. Afterward, we will travel to Bari, where we will visit the relics of St. Nicholas, and if possible proceed to the Discalced Carmelite Monastery which houses the body of Bl. Elia of St. Clement. Dinner and overnight in Bari. Friday, June 17 - DAY 6 - BARI/MONTE SANT'ANGELO /SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO/LANCIANO - After an early hotel departure with box breakfast, we continue to Monte Sant'Angelo, an approved apparition site of St. Michael the Archangel (13th century), where we will briefly stop and pray, and then on to the shrine of Padre Pio at San Giovanni Rotundo. Departing the shrine, we will drive north to Lanciano, the Church which houses the famous Eucharistic Miracle from the 8th century, and the only one to date which has been the subject of a peer-reviewed, scientific journal article, which reports that what is present appears to be fresh, human cardiac tissue. Here we will have Mass before we continue to Montesilvano for dinner and overnight. Saturday, June 18 - DAY 7 - MONTESILVANO/ LORETO/BOLOGNA - After an early breakfast we depart for Loreto, to the site of the Holy House, where the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, was born; where she was saluted by the Angel, and where the eternal Word of God was made Flesh. Angels conveyed this House from Palestine to Italy in 1291. We will celebrate Mass at the Basilica before we proceed to Bologna, where we will see the seated, incorrupt body of St. Catherine of Bologna at her monastery, the tomb of Bl. Imelda at the Church of San Sigismondo, and the relics of St. Dominic at the Basilica named in his honor. Dinner on your own, and overnight in Bologna. Sunday, June 19 ???  DAY 8 - BOLOGNA/FLORENCE/SIENA - After an early breakfast, we continue to Florence, where we will celebrate Mass at the Carmelite Monastery where the incorrupt body of St. Mary Magdeline de Pazzi lies, and then visit the Discalced Carmelite Monastery which houses the incorrupt remains of St. Teresa Margaret Redi. Time permitting, we will visit the Cathedral and the Baptistery of San Giovanni, with its famous bronze doors. Later, we will continue to Siena to visit the relics of St Catherine of Siena and the Eucharistic Miracle of Siena. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Siena. Monday, June 20 - DAY 9 - SIENA/CORTONA/CASTELLO/ ASSISI - Following an early breakfast we drive to the Sanctuary of St. Margaret of Cortona, where her incorrupt body lies, and where we celebrate Mass. Next, we visit the Shrine of Bl. Margaret of Castello, where her body lies incorrupt under the main altar at the Church of St. Dominic, and then on to Assisi, the home of St. Francis. Our first stop there will be in the lower town for a visit to the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, which houses the Portiuncula, Francis' Church of the Little Portion. Dinner and overnight in Assisi. Tuesday, June 21 - DAY 10 - ASSISI/CASCIA/ROME -  After breakfast, we visit the Basilicas of Saint Francis & Saint Clare, then we will visit the San Damiano Convent, where the crucifix spoke to St. Francis, and where St. Clare died. We then depart Assisi for Cascia, where we celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia, and later see the Eucharistic Miracle of Cascia. Finally, we will return to Rome for our farewell dinner and overnight. Wednesday, June 22 - Day 11 - RETURN TO U.S. - Today we make our way home with memories of a lifetime.
