Map Zambia - Country Information

Map of Zambia - The map of the Republic of Zambia depicts a landlocked country in southern Africa that shares borders with the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north, Tanzania to the northeast, Malawi to the east, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Namibia to the south, and Angola to the west. The map of Zambia is divided politically into 10 provinces, which are further sub-divided to form a total of 72 districts. The north of the map of Zambia is very flat with broad plains, most of which are the floodplains of the Zambezi River, which floods regularly from December to June. Eastern Zambia is dominated by a plateau landscape which is tilted upward toward the north. The landscape of Zambia is quite diverse; however, with rift valleys, upland plateau areas, lowland floodplains, as well as mountain ranges, and large river basins, including those of the Zambezi and Congo Rivers. The climate of Zambia is tropical, but is modified by elevation. As with many tropical African countries, there are two main seasons, the dry and the wet.
