Map Chile - Country Information

Map of Chile - The map of the Republic of Chile depicts a long narrow country occupying a strip of land between the Andes Mountains to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west, and located in South America. The map of Chile is bordered by Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast, Argentina to the east, and the Drake Passage in the far south, with the Pacific Ocean on the west. The north of the map of Chile is comprised of mineral-rich desert, while the relatively small central area is the cultural, political, and agricultural centre from which the nation of Chile expanded. The southern portion of the map of Chile is rich in forests and grazing lands, and it has a string of lakes and volcanoes, while the southern coast is a maze of inlets, canals, fjords, twisting peninsulas, and islands. The climate of Chile is incredibly diverse, with the Atacama desert, the world's driest, in the north, to a Mediterranean climate, great for growing grapes and wine production, in the centre, to humid subtropical on Easter Island, as well as oceanic, and alpine tundra and glaciers in the south and east. Four distinct seasons are present throughout the geography of the map of Chile.
