Map of Cameroon - The Republic of Cameroon is a country in west central Africa, and the map of Cameroon is bordered by Chad to the northeast, by the Central African Republic to the east, the Republic of Congo to the south, and by Nigeria to the west. The coastline of the map of Cameroon lies on the Bight of Bonny, which is part of the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean. Cameroon is sometimes known as "Africa in Miniature" for its great geological, geographical, and cultural diversity, with all major climates and vegetation on the African continent represented. Geography ranges from beaches to deserts, mountains, rainforests, and savanna, with the highest point being Mount Cameroon in the southwest. The map of Cameroon is divided politically into 10 regions, which are divided into 58 divisions. There are five major geographic zones represented in the map of Cameroon. These are the coastal plains, which are densely forested, the South Cameroon Plateau, which is slightly less wet, hot, and humid, but which is still comprised of equatorial rainforests, the Western High Plateau and irregular hills and mountain ranges are the third region, with a milder climate, and fertile, volcanic soils. The fourth region is the southern plateau region, which rises northward towards the Adamawa Plateau which separates the map of Cameroon into north and south, and, finally, is the northern lowland region, which consists mostly of savanna and scrubland.
