Eva's new home with her new German family. Her chances of getting back to Czechoslovakia are decreasing with every new place she has to live in. (Furstenberg would be different in 2010 because there wouldn't be a war and a concentration camp next door, Eva's family wouldn't be hiding from bombs because Germany is more of an ally, and there might be a bomb shelter that could fit the whole town inside instead of each family having a separate one.)
