Monday, September 4 - Labor Day-Day 1 - DEPART USA - Today, we depart JFK on a non-stop overnight flight to Vienna. Tuesday, September 5 - Day 2 - VIENNA - We arrive in Vienna and meet our Tour Manager.  We board our motor coach and enjoy a panoramic tour of Vienna???s Ringstrasse passing by City Hall, the Burg Theater, Houses of Parliament, State Museums and the Opera.  We visit Minoritenkirche, a 13th century Gothic church where we view the life-sized mosaic copy of Leonardo da Vinci???s Last Supper, commissioned by Napoleon I. We transfer to our hotel and enjoy the rest of our day at leisure. Overnight at our hotel.  Wednesday, September 6 - Day 3 -VIENNA - Following morning Mass at St Stephen???s Cathedral, we join our guide for a walk through the Hofburg, winter residence of the Hapsburg Emperors. We visit the 17th century Capuchin Church containing the Imperial Vaults, then stop at the Hundertwasser house with its colorful facades and golden onion towers. This afternoon we visit the Palace of Schönbrunn, the Hapsburg summer residence. The rest of the day is free for shopping or individual exploration. Evening, optional concert. (Not included in price.). Three course dinner in nearby restaurant and overnight at our hotel. Thursday, September 7 - Day 4 ??? VIENNA/PRAGUE - After breakfast, we depart Vienna and journey to Prague, where we visit its many beautiful churches and see its religious treasures. At the Prague Loreto, we celebrate Mass at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord or at the chapel, a replica of the Holy House. We view the famous ???Prague Sun,??? a monstrance with over 6,000 diamonds. We briefly visit the Strahov Monastery complex: The Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption and its vast library collections in the Theological Hall.  We proceed to St. Nicholas Church (Mala Strana), one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Prague, where Mozart???s spectacular masterpiece, Mass in C, was first performed.  Dinner and overnight at our hotel.  Friday, September 8 - Birth of Mary-Day 5 - PRAGUE - This morning, we celebrate Mass at the Church of Our Lady Victorious.  We view the famous statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague, originally from Spain and donated to the Carmelites in 1628. We visit the museum to see part of the Infant Jesus??? wardrobe, most of which are gifts of gratitude. The vestments of the Infant Jesus are traditionally changed about ten times a year according to the liturgical season. Afterwards, we tour Castle Hill and visit St. Vitus Cathedral, Vladislav Hall and Golden Lane.   Our afternoon tour of Prague will include the Old Town with Astronomical clock, Our Lady before Tyn Church, Jewish Quarter and Charles Bridge.  Three course dinner in nearby restaurant and overnight at our hotel. Saturday, September 9 - Day 6 -  PRAGUE/KRAKOW -  After an early breakfast, we depart Prague and travel to Poland. En route, we stop by Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope St. John Paul II.  We celebrate Mass at the parish church where the Holy Father was baptized, then visit the museum in his small family home. We proceed to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Benedictine Monastery where the Holy Father often prayed and walked the Stations of the Cross.  We continue to Krakow and transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Sunday, September 10 - Day 7 - KRAKOW - "THE POLISH ROME"/LAGIEWNIKI - This morning we visit the Church of St. Florian, where Pope John Paul II served as a curate, and where he lived while university chaplain. Afterwards, we meet our guide and begin our sightseeing tour of Krakow.  Our first stop is the courtyard of 16th century Royal Castle, and Wawel Cathedral, where generations of Polish Kings are buried. We then take a walking tour of Old Town, visiting some of the treasures of this wonderful old city.  We view the Town Hall Tower and the Cloth Hall, the Collegium Maius in the oldest university area and St. Mary's Church.  Here we enjoy the ancient tradition of the "Hejnal" or bugle call from the Tower, which warned residents of the coming of an enemy. Afterwards, we drive to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki. We visit the Basilica, see the convent and meet with the Sisters there.   At 3PM we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and celebrate Mass at the chapel where the miraculous Divine Mercy image and the tomb of St. Faustina can be found.  Before returning to Krakow, we stop at the nearby Shrine of Saint John Paul II and see the Holy Father???s relics. Three course dinner in nearby restaurant and overnight at our hotel. Monday, September 11 - Day 8 - KRAKOW/CZESTOCHOWA - We depart early this morning and travel Czestochowa. We celebrate Mass at the Jasna Góra Shrine, the home of the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Cz??stochowa.  According to tradition, the famous Icon was painted by St. Luke on a tabletop built by Jesus. It was discovered by St. Helena during her search of the true cross in Jerusalem and was enshrined in Constantinople. It remained in a royal palace in Ruthenia for 600 years, then finally transferred to Jasna Gora and entrusted to Pauline monks in the 14th century.  We tour the shrine and after some free time on our own for prayer and meditation, we return to Krakow for dinner and overnight at our hotel. Tuesday, September 12 - Day 9 - KRAKOW/BUDAPEST -  Early today, we depart Krakow cross the border into Slovakia. We stop by Banska Bystrica to celebrate Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. After lunch on our own, we cross the Lower Tatra Mountains.  This afternoon, we enter Hungary and reach Budapest where we proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight.  Wednesday, September 13 - Day 10 - BUDAPEST - After breakfast, we drive to the Royal Castle in Buda where we visit Fishermen???s Bastion and the beautiful Gothic St. Matthias Church. We continue to the Citadel where we enjoy the best view over the Danube and the lower city of Pest. Later we cross the Elizabeth Bridge to the Market Hall and the pedestrian center where we will have free time for lunch on our own. In the afternoon, we drive through the City Park to Hero???s Square, then past the Opera and Parliament. We proceed to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, dedicated to St Elizabeth who is best known for her miracle of the roses.  We conclude our day with a visit and Mass at St. Stephen???s Basilica. This evening we enjoy a Farewell dinner at the Gypsy Tavern with folkloric entertainment and then we enjoy a boat ride on the Danube. We proceed to our hotel for overnight. Thursday, September 14 - Day 11 - BUDAPEST/USA - This morning, we transfer to the airport in Budapest to board our flight to the USA arriving later with memories of a lifetime.
