Map of Zimbabwe - The map of the Republic of Zimbabwe depicts a landlocked country in southern Africa with land located between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, and that shares borders with Zambia, and a tip of Namibia to the northwest, Mozambique to the east, South Africa to the south, and Botswana to the southwest. Politically, the map of Zimbabwe is divided into eight provinces, and two cities with provincial status. Most of the landscape of the map of Zimbabwe is elevated in a central plateau, or high veld, which runs from the southwest to the northeast at elevations of 1200 to 1600 metres above sea level. The eastern part of the map of Zimbabwe is quite mountainous, with Mount Nyangani as the country's highest point at almost 2600 metres above sea level. About one fifth of the land area of the map of Zimbabwe consists of the lowland low veld area, which averages under 900 metres above sea level. In the northwest of the country is located Victoria Falls, on the Zambezi River, and which is one of the world's largest waterfalls. The climate of Zimbabwe is tropical, moderated by altitude, with a distinct rainy season.
