Map Sweden - Country Information
Map of Sweden - The Kingdom of Sweden is a Nordic country on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. The map of Sweden is bordered by Norway and Finland, and is connected to Denmark by a bridge-tunnel across the Oresund. The map of Sweden forms the eastern part of the Scandinavian Peninsula, and it lies to the west of the Baltic Sea, and the Gulf of Bothnia. To the west of the map of Sweden is the Scandinavian Mountain Chain, the Skanderna, which separates Sweden from Norway. Finland borders the map of Sweden to the northeast. The map of Sweden is divided politically into 25 provinces or landskap (landscapes), which are based on culture, geography, and history. The south of the map of Sweden is primarily agricultural, and is the more densely-populated of the regions, with increasing forestation, and decreasing population density the farther north you go, until the Arctic Circle is reached. The 15% of the landmass of the map of Sweden that exists north of the Arctic Circle is predominantly tundra landscape, and constitutes a part of Lappland, which is the territory of the Lapp peoples (like the North American Inuit), and crosses over into Finland.
