Map of Ghana - The Republic of Ghana is a west African country, and the map of Ghana is bordered in the north by Burkina Faso, in the east by Togo, in the south by the Gulf of Guinea, and in the west by the Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire). The map of Ghana is divided into 10 political administrative regions, which are further subdivided into a total of 170 districts. The map of Ghana can be divided into 5 geographical regions, with mostly flat plains, low hills, and a few rivers, as well as the world's largest reservoir at Lake Volta, behind the Aksombo Dam. The coastline is mostly low, sandy shores backed by plains, and intersected by rivers and streams flowing to the Gulf of Guinea. The northern part of the map of Ghana is mostly high plains, while the south and southwest region is made up of the Ashanti uplands and the Kwahu Plateau, which is a forested area. Along the eastern border of the map of Ghana is the hilly Akuapim-Togo ranges, while the central region of the map of Ghana is dominated by the Volta Basin. Located only a few degrees north of the equator, Ghana has a warm, humid, and predominantly tropical climate.
